Sadly Misunderstood Gifts
For some strange reason, my people continue to misinterpret the generosity and wonderfulness of some of the gifts that I choose to leave them. Let's just take two examples:
1. Excess fur. I'm pleased to donate fur that I no longer need. Sometimes, I leave it directly on my people, sometimes I leave it on furniture, oftentimes, I leave it on the floor. I like to think of it as leaving a little reminder of my terrific presence wherever I go. For some unexplicable reason, my people don't appreciate this gift nearly as much as I think they should.
2. Vomit. Every once in a while, I like to leave a memento, carefully seasoned with gastric juices, around the house. Incredibly, when one of my people discovers my gift, often by stepping in it, they fail to appreciate it. I try to explain, but often, they scold me! The ingrates.
